What it means

"Regretamine" is a made-up drug from a joke post: one dose erases all your regrets, including the regret of having taken it. The punchline is the paradox, since the pill would wipe out the memory of the decision it exists to fix.

Replies ran with it, inventing side effects, product labels and other pun-named drugs. It is a joke, not a real medication.

Origin

Elon Musk posted the joke on X on November 1, 2026: "I have this great idea for a drug called Regretamine. One dose and all your regrets are gone! Including, obviously, having taken Regretamine in the first place." The post drew over 9,000 replies and millions of views within hours, per X's public counts, and X featured the spin-off posts as a trending story.
