Jiren Dancing (I'm So in Love With You) meme: what it means and where it came from
What it means
Animations of Dragon Ball characters, especially the stoic fighter Jiren, doing a smooth little dance to the song "it's like i'm not even here" by Mthu, with the lyric "I'm so in love with you, you're so in love with him, I don't know what to do." The contrast between an intimidating character and a goofy, lovesick dance is the joke.
People also recreate the dance themselves, in public or on unusual screens.
Origin
Per Know Your Meme, the dancing animations are largely made by TikToker @dblgiuzman, who posted Jiren dance clips in early September 2026. Later that month users began pairing them with the Mthu song; one of the earliest known edits was posted by @skobodo_tolot on September 17, 2026. The format spread through October, with some versions passing 2 million views.
