What it means

A joke line, not a factual claim. X users posted "Ken Paxton eats salsa made in New York City," part of a chain of posts pinning absurd, mundane "offenses" on the Texas attorney general (the post it quotes says he "leaves his shopping carts in the parking spots"). The salsa line riffs on an old TV ad in which cowboys are horrified that a salsa was "made in New York City." Many accounts copied the line word for word.

Origin

The most-viewed version MemeStand found was posted on X by @leftcoastbabe on October 31, 2026, quoting the shopping-cart post from the day before. X listed the trend as a news story. MemeStand has not verified what started the chain.
